Mrs. Cooper: Art

For those of you who don't know me already, my name is Mrs. Cooper.  I have been Lordship Elementary's art teacher for twelve years now.  I have also been teaching art part time at Franklin School for 2 years now. If you ever need to get in touch with me, email is best as I travel between the two schools.  My email is [email protected]

I am originally a Stratford native!  I went to Second Hill Lane Elementary, then onto Flood, and finished high school over at Bunnell (go Bulldogs)!  For my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Art Education I attended Southern Connecticut State University.  My certification is Pre-K through 12th grade, although my current assignment is K through 6th Grade.
I am active as a professional artist and often complete works on commission or teach private lessons during the summertime.  I love the written word and also write fiction as a hobby.
I am animal lover and have been active as an animal rehabilitator for a number of rescue groups. I am currently volunteering as a dog walker for the Humane Society.  Your children can certainly tell you stories about my own two rescues - Emma the Siamese and Teagan the Tabby.  I never get tired of talking about them!
I hope that you continue to encourage your children to support the arts and that you enjoy the rest of my website!
