Ms. Grandfield: Kindergarten
My name is Shelby Grandfield. I teach Kindergarten at Lordship school. I originally started teaching at a private preschool here in Stratford before I decided I wanted to become an Elementary Teacher. When I first graduated, I began substituting thoughout the district. Then I landed a permanent substituing position at Lordship which led me to my first year of teaching sixth grade .
I am a native of Stratford. I grew up, attended public school, and currently reside here as well. I went to Housatonic Community College where I received my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. From there, I went on to Southern Connecticut State University and obtained my undergraduate degree in Elementay Ed and Psychology. I obtained my graduate degree in Elementary Ed at Sacred Heart University and will plan to have my Sixth Year Degree by the end of this coming school year.
I have a strong passion for reading, physical fitness, and anything music related. My hobbies include cooking and playing the piano. I enjoy spending my free time with close friends and family and I thoroughly enjoy the New York Yankees.
